Operator: US RIDESHARE TECHNOLOGIES LLC (Florida)
UsRides is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use our platform as a rider or driver.
UsRides is a transportation network company (“TNC”) platform operated by US RIDESHARE TECHNOLOGIES LLC (“UsRides,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Florida limited liability company. UsRides provides a digital network that connects riders with independent drivers who provide prearranged rides. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to riders, drivers, and anyone who uses our app or website.
When you create and use an account, we collect information you give us directly, including: • Account & profile: your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo. • Rider details: pickup and destination addresses, saved places (such as Home or Work), passenger count, scheduled pickup date and time, vehicle class, an optional flight number for airport trips, ride preferences, tips you add, and any messages you send through in-app chat. • Concierge bookings: if you ask UsRides staff to arrange a ride for you, we record the trip details and contact information you give us and associate the booking with your account and saved payment method. • Support, disputes & lost items: the details you submit when you contact support, report a lost item, or open a fare dispute. • Expansion waitlist: if you ask to be notified when we serve your area, the email address, state, and attempted address you provide. • Ratings & feedback: ratings and comments you give about a driver or rider, and any support or dispute information you submit. • Driver application details (drivers only): your full legal name, date of birth, driver’s license number, vehicle make/model/color/plate, vehicle passenger capacity, a verification selfie or profile photo, vehicle registration and insurance documents you upload, and your residential address. • Identity and banking information for payouts is collected directly by Stripe, not by UsRides. Your Social Security Number or tax ID and your bank account details are entered into Stripe Connect and are processed and retained by Stripe. UsRides never receives or stores your Social Security Number, tax ID, or bank account number. See Section 5. • Driver earnings records: your trip history, balance, adjustments made by UsRides, cash-out requests, and payout status.
When you use UsRides, we and our service providers automatically collect: • Location data: precise GPS location during the booking and active-ride process. For riders, this is your pickup/route location while a ride is being arranged or is underway. For drivers, this is your real-time location while you are available for or engaged in a ride, so we can match rides, show your position to your rider, and provide navigation. • Usage & device data: app interactions, ride history, timestamps, device identifiers, and similar technical information used to operate, secure, and improve the service. Location tracking is tied to the ride experience. You can disable location permissions in your device settings, but core features (such as booking, matching, and navigation) will not work without it.
With your permission, UsRides accesses your device camera and photo library so you can take or upload images — for example, a rider or driver profile photo, a driver verification selfie, and vehicle registration or insurance documents during driver onboarding. We only access the camera or photos when you actively use one of these features, and we upload the specific image you choose. We do not access, scan, or continuously monitor your photo library in the background. You can disable camera and photo permissions at any time in your device settings, though features that require an image will not work without them.
With your permission, UsRides sends push notifications to your device (through OneSignal) to keep you informed about your rides — for example, when a driver is assigned, arriving, when your trip starts or completes, ride reminders, earnings and payout updates for drivers, and important service or safety messages. To deliver these, we and OneSignal process a device notification identifier (push token). You can turn push notifications off at any time in your device settings or in the app’s notification preferences; you may still receive essential transactional emails. OneSignal processes notification data under its own privacy policy (onesignal.com/privacy).
Drivers only: in the installed iOS and Android app, UsRides collects your precise location in the background — meaning while the app is minimized, closed, or your phone is locked — in these situations: • During an active trip: from the moment you open a trip until you end or release it, so your rider can see you approaching, so UsRides support can assist, and so navigation and mileage work. • Shortly before a scheduled trip: starting up to one (1) hour before a pickup you have accepted (or immediately for a trip arranged for right away), at a lower sampling rate, so UsRides staff can see that you are en route and keep the rider informed. While background tracking is running, your phone displays a persistent UsRides notification, banner, or Live Activity showing your current trip step — this is how the operating system tells you location is in use, and tapping it returns you to the trip screen. Background collection stops when the trip is completed, cancelled, or released, and outside these windows we do not track you in the background. Location is used to operate the ride, not to monitor you when you are off-duty, and we do not sell it. You grant this access through your device’s location permission and can change or revoke it at any time in your device settings; if you do, ride tracking, navigation, and trip assignment will not work properly. UsRides does not record audio or video, and does not access your microphone. Any dashcam or recording device a driver chooses to use is that driver’s own — it is not provided, controlled, or accessed by UsRides. Riders: your location is collected only while you are booking or taking a ride, and is not collected in the background.
We use Twilio, Inc. to send text messages (SMS) to the mobile number on your account. Every UsRides account must have a verified mobile number: when you sign in, we text you a one-time verification code, and we may text you service messages about your account or rides. To do this, we share your mobile number and the message content with Twilio, which processes it under its own privacy policy (twilio.com/legal/privacy). By providing your mobile number you consent to receive these automated service and verification texts from UsRides at that number. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can reply STOP to any message to opt out of non-essential texts or HELP for help; note that verification codes are required to sign in, so opting out of them means you will not be able to log in. We do not send marketing texts without your separate consent, and we do not sell your phone number. Mobile phone numbers collected for ride notifications are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
UsRides is built and hosted on Base44 (base44.com). Base44 provides our secure authentication (login), application database, file storage, email delivery, and certain AI/automated features. Your account credentials are processed and stored by Base44 — we do not store your password. The personal information described in this policy (such as your profile, ride records, saved places, chat messages, ratings, and uploaded driver documents) is stored within Base44’s infrastructure on our behalf. Base44’s own privacy practices govern its handling of this data.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. UsRides does not store full card numbers. When you pay (including by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay), Stripe collects and retains your payment method details, billing information, and transaction history. For drivers, payouts run through Stripe Connect, which collects and verifies identity information including your full Social Security Number or tax ID, bank account details, and tax information. Stripe Connect uses this for identity verification, fraud prevention, automated payouts, and tax reporting. Any IRS Form 1099 (such as Form 1099-K or 1099-NEC) is generated and furnished by Stripe from your payout records and made available to you in the app through Stripe’s embedded documents view; UsRides does not prepare, issue, or file tax forms. This information is processed and retained by Stripe under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy) and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (stripe.com/connect/legal).
We use Mapbox (mapbox.com) for maps, address search (geocoding), route calculation, and live tracking. When these features are used, the relevant location and address data is processed by Mapbox under its own privacy policy (mapbox.com/privacy). Drivers may also choose to hand off navigation to a third-party app such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze. When a driver opens one of those apps, the destination is passed to that app and your use is then governed by that provider’s privacy policy. We do not control those apps.
If you enter a flight number for an airport trip, we send that flight number and travel date to an AI service with web-search capability (provided through Base44) to retrieve publicly available flight status, terminal, and timing information, which we then show in the app and share with your assigned driver. We do not send your name, contact details, or payment information with a flight lookup. Flight results come from third-party sources and may be inaccurate or out of date.
If you apply to drive, you authorize us (and any background-check provider we use) to collect and review information needed to confirm your eligibility under Florida law, including your identity, driver’s license, driving history record, and local, state, and national criminal background check results (including the U.S. Department of Justice National Sex Offender Public Website). We use this information solely to determine and re-confirm driver eligibility as required by Florida Statutes § 627.748 and to maintain platform safety. Background screening is also subject to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) where a consumer reporting agency is used.
We use your information to: create and manage your account; match riders with drivers; calculate fares, wait-time fees, and cancellation fees, and process payments, tips, refunds, driver earnings, balance adjustments, and payouts; display the driver’s photo and vehicle/plate to the rider before pickup; provide real-time tracking and navigation; send electronic ride receipts; enable in-app chat and ratings; verify driver eligibility; provide customer support and resolve disputes; detect and prevent fraud and unsafe activity; comply with legal and tax obligations; and operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information for money.
We share information only as needed to run the service: • Between riders and drivers: a rider’s name, pickup/destination, and the driver’s name, photo, vehicle, and live location are shared with the matched party to complete the ride. • Authorized UsRides personnel: our staff and administrators can access account, trip, document, ratings, message, and payout records as needed to operate the platform, arrange rides on request, review driver applications and change requests, adjust balances, and resolve disputes. • Service providers: Base44 (platform/hosting/email/AI), Stripe (payments/payouts), Mapbox (maps), Twilio (text messages and phone verification), OneSignal (push notifications), and any background-check provider, each processing data to perform services for us. • Legal & safety: we may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or UsRides. • Business transfers: information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing.
We retain your account information, ride history (including ride locations and route data stored on ride records), driver documents, chat messages, and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal, tax, insurance, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Payment and payout records held by Stripe, and authentication data held by Base44, are retained under their respective policies and legal requirements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion of your account as described in Section 12; some information may be retained where the law requires.
We use reasonable, industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, and rely on Base44’s secure infrastructure and Stripe’s PCI-DSS-compliant systems for authentication and payment data. Sensitive identifiers (such as SSN and bank details) are handled through Stripe’s secure systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can review and update your profile information in the app, control location and notification permissions through your device, and request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at Ridesbyus@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the Florida Digital Bill of Rights or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of your information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time required by applicable law. Some data (for example, records we must keep for tax, insurance, or legal reasons) may be retained even after a deletion request.
UsRides is not intended for use by anyone under 18, and you must be at least 18 years old to create an account. A rider under 18 may travel only when accompanied by the adult account holder who booked the ride and is responsible for them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.
UsRides may use cookies, device identifiers, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the service. If we add third-party analytics, attribution, or advertising tools (now or in the future), those providers may independently collect information about your device and app usage under their own privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings and opt out of certain analytics or advertising tracking through the relevant provider’s tools; some features may not work if these technologies are disabled.
Consistent with U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance, we disclose that UsRides uses artificial intelligence and automated systems for features such as ride matching, dynamic and predictive pricing, automated customer support, dispute analysis, and fraud detection. These systems may process data such as location, ride history, and usage patterns to deliver and improve the service. AI-generated outputs may contain errors and are provided for convenience only. We do not use your personal data to train third-party generative AI models without your consent, and you may contact us to request human review of an automated decision that significantly affects you.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in the app, and the “Effective Date” below will be updated. Your continued use of UsRides after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your information, contact us at Ridesbyus@gmail.com or through the Help & Support section in the app. US RIDESHARE TECHNOLOGIES LLC maintains a designated agent for service of process in the State of Florida as required by law.
